I'm also seeing them appear randomly on several different machines on separate networks.
At home, I get them randomly on my desktop and laptop when I connect to the HTPC, Gigabit network between desktop and HTPC, Wireless G Between laptop and HTPC.
I built a friend a HTPC and same there, when I connect to EWA from his desktop machine I get these errors randomly.
Has a solution been found?

Only to implement the ability to turn off the Ajax based services (Reminder checking and Server Time display).
The reason the pop-ups come up is becuase your browser can not reach the server....for whatever reason.....could be firewall, could be network traffic, could be anti-spyware....just don't know.
I have many friends using EWA with no errors.

The errors aren't consistent here. Sometimes I get none, sometimes one, once they happened continuously until I killed the browser, they wouldn't stop or let me do anything. This is all on a local network...
The biggest problem is the error popup blocking browser activity, would it be possible to just suppress the error message? If the server time doesn't get updated once who cares, but I don't need an error popup telling me it couldn't do it that second ruining the rest of the experience.

Yep...I don't think anyone that has reported a problem sees them consistently. The reason they pop-up frequently is becuase the server time checks every 5 seconds and the reminders check every 3(if I recall correctly) so if the server or port on the server is unreachable for 10 seconds chances are you'll get about 5 pop-ups.

My most common useage of EWA at home is usually just to schedule something to record with another PC whilst the PVR is being watched by the rest of the family... so as not to interrupt.
If the PVR is then finished with, and shuts down due to being bone idle and I have left the EWA page on the other PC, thats when it all goes banzai with a multitude of popups. I do not use the reminders or care about the server time so I would just like a way to turn Ajax off.

Yep...when the server shuts down there is not callback capability thus the errors.

I can no longer modify my schedule remotely if need be because this error keeps popping up.
Yes....the next release provides an option to turn off Ajax calls so that people that have server issues no longer get browser error messages.
When turning off Ajax there will no longer be the server time and reminders will no longer function either.
