I'm sure it's not the first time this question is asked, but I couldn't find any data on this in the wiki, or by searching the forum.

My primary hard disk was replaced, so I had to install win xp again, as well as GB-PVR. all my tv recordings remained on a separate hard drive, but of course, the new installation does not know of their existence.
Is there any way of forcing GB-PVR to show them as recorded shows (by using a plugin, or editing a certain file manually)?

I couldn't figure out how to manage the code in this link.
I understand that the recordings are documented in a certain -xml file.
Where is that file located? I don't mind checking how a new record appears there, and then just add manually the old ones. Will that work for me?
If that's not the way to do that, I will appreciate a more detailed instructions as to how to use the code in the above link.

the script creates a file called recording-dump.xml in the folder where you ran the script from. You can then import this xml file into gbpvr using the config.exe program.

1. open notepad
2. Paste code from the post into notepad
3. File, save as , navigate to recordings folder, save as file RecoverRecordings.bat
4. In windows explorer, navigate to recordings folder.
5. double click RecoverRecordings.bat.

A dos box should appear as the script runs and closes when it finishes.

You should now have a file calle recording-dump.xml. if so, go into config.exe and under one of the tabs, there is an option to import recordings.

If that doesn't work, there is also this utility

Thank you
The code didn't work for me, but I'm satisfied with the results the utility got me. It didn't manage with my fonts, but I can access those shows from GB-PVR, which is great.
