TV Listings 2 - Support Thread

Hi,

I just noticed the "TV Recordings" section - this is awesome. I was about to write something similar. One or two things I had in mind that yours doesn't have is 1) to have a button on the left with last played - this way if you had stopped in the middle of watching something it needs only one button to resume at the last location. 2) have a view option that uses a single line for each recording or directory (may be able to do this with skin work only)

I mean something like the attached where you can fit more recordings on the screen by putting all the text on one line - I can get close adjusting the skin but a few tweaks could make it nicer (like replacing "7 recordings" with (7) or something and perhaps removing the channel name, or using the date with no 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM)

I don't think that I'll add such an additional view explicitly, but I could add some new parameters like the recording count number only so that you can use it in your customized skin.

In addition to the ways we can now view lists of programs (New, Ready, Pending, etc) it would be nice to be able to view just the Movies that have been recorded. These have episode IDs that begin with MV.

You might want to take a look at Search Wiz (http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/SearchWiz) as it can search by Genre. I do a movie search each week using the "Movie" Genre...works great. I use Schedules Direct listings and UltraXML Enhancer further enhance the listings (including adding "Movie" as a genre to any listing with MV in the episode...among other enhancements it makes).

I too use Schedules Direct and UltraXML Enhancer and I have used SearchWiz in the past.

I would just find it more convenient to have most of the features I use in fewer rather than have to use more plugins. Between TV Recordings and TV Listings I have most of the capabilities I want related to recordings in just two plugins.

alibert, in the "find more" - "Listings" - "Imdb" lookup I would like to show the rating number instead of the stars (i.e, 7.6/10). Is there any way I could do that modifying the skin.

no, that's not possible. The value is just used to draw the stars and not accessible with other skin parameters.

okay. Do you want the star-rating text to appear in the description in the detail view of an imdb-searchresult, or as skin parameter for the items in the find-more results list?
