How to get user input?

I'm looking to add manual recording ability to the dvbt radio plugin. I'd like a popup similar to that of the Man Rec available in the pvrx2 Recordings plugin.

I can easily do a left/right step through channels and also date but is there an easy way to have a user enter start/finish times, i.e., not just step in steps of 5 or 10 minutes but be able to enter a time with the keyboard or remote? Is there a UiElement 'textbox' equivalent or do I need to build this myself?

There is no built in control for text entry. Ive only had to do it in about two places in the UI, and I opted to allow left/right to move in 10 minute steps, or they could type a four digit time. (no cursor etc)

the wizuitility's include a text entry box with keyboard entry and sms style remote entry.
