My batch file updateepg.bat isn't running before gbpvr updates its epg.

My computer does wake up and update its epg, but it doesn't run the batch file first. The batch file seams to work fine if I run it manually.

Any idea why it doesn't run first?

Its not run when you click the 'update epg' button in the config app, but it should run as part of the automated daily EPG update.

Post your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and I'll check.

Yes, it runs from there aswell.

The 'update epg' button in the config app is for a slightly different purpose than the other updates, and is focused on a single capture source rather than the whole update. It doesnt clear the epg first or run the related batch files.

Sorry I was slow about posting my log. There are many copies of GBPVRRecordingSErvices.exe.log. This one looks complete to me.

That log doesnt show an EPG update. Zip all the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log files you have (including -1 -2 etc), and I'll see if any of those cover an EPG update.

These logs look like they include several auto updates.

I'm doing something silly am I? The file is suppose to be:

C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\updateepg.bat

It runs fine when I click on it.

I can see its successfully running the automated EPG update at 8AM, and pulling in listings. I cant tell you whether your batch file is correct or not though (things like mc2xml.exe being in c:\epg\grabbers etc), so 2.xml may contain old listings, but other than that it looks like everything is fine.

If I click on the updateepg.bat file it updates the 2.xml file, and then next time GBPVR auto update runs it picks up the updates. GBPVR is not calling the udpateepg.bat file or if it does it isn't running because of some sort of UAC problem.

I guess I should just schedule a windows process to run my updateepg.bat daily.

If it finds the UpdateEPG.bat, it'll log it. In your case these messages arent in the log, which makes me think you have file named incorrectly, or is in the wrong directory.
