MovieWiz v1.0.21.0 broken

Hi JavaWiz

I unsuccessfully upgraded to V1.0.21.0 from V1.20.0. MW Manager fails with error and crashes
"Error translating column image. Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown."

The plugin seems OK. Any thoughts? :confused:

Can you post the log file? I'll take a look. It'll be either config.exe.log or MovieWizManager.exe.log depending on how you are launching it.

Also, I've posted new versions of the WizDLLs, you may want to try those also.

I updated the WizDLL's but the problem with MW Manager crashing continues.

Included are MovieWiz manager logs. I hope they can shed some light onto the problem.

Does this same error occur when running from the plugin tasks-MovieWiz in the gbpvr config program?

I take it that you store the images in the db rather than just the URL (Settings 1-Save Images in DB)?

How much memory do you have on your machine?

I can confirm that v21 does appear to have issues. I had been using v16 with no issues but I upgraded to v21 and the external scanner crashes when it tries to load a new file.

I'l try upgrading to the latest wizutils libs and see if that affects anything.

Upgrading the DLLs and resaving the configuration parameters seems to have cleaned up the problem.

I have the same 'System.OutOfMemoryException' starting MW Manager from GBPVR Config as well. It crashes on the Manage Content tab selection, every time.

My test system has 4GB of RAM and XP Pro. My video library has 850 movies, all with covers stored in the DB. I did notice that when MW Manager starts it takes 1GB for itself and takes another 600MB when I select the Manage Content tab, then it crashes.

Ok, it is bombing around the thumbnail logic. It tries to load all the DB images when it builds the list. I've made some code changes to do a 'lazy load', it may minimize the memory impact.

Attached is a new copy of MovieWiz and WizWebHelper.DLL. Try these and see if it helps. Attach your log file(s) so I can review the results.

Memory use is way down, again. Below 100MB. from previous memory and thumbs review, I thought you decided to load images as required. This would also be a speed improvement.

Great, glad we got it working for you. I did have lazy load in plugin, but forgot to put that logic in the config portion of the program.
