I have GB-PVR installed on my PC, and it works great for streaming to my MediaMVP. Is it possible to stream to my Mac? I don't have a lot of HD space, otherwise I'd just copy the movie of course. I know the "client" that exists on the PC. Anything like it on the Mac?

You could use the EWA, the web interface, that allows streaming/downloading/scheduling.
It should work in any browser I guess.

I think you'd still need Vlc as well to open the steam

You can use VLC to stream from the server but you don't get the GB-PVR GUI. Or you can run the GB-PVR client in Parallels but playback didn't work too well for me on a 2.0 GHz mini. Or I suppose you could boot into Windows with boot camp but then you may as well go with a Windoze box.

but that's ok because you can get VLC for Mac OS X.
I know zip about Macs but I think this is the only way of doing it.
