TV Listings 2 - Support Thread

Hi, I like the new TV Recordings screen, I just have one request.
For the original recordings screen there's an option in the settings to define which section you see when you open it - I had it set to go straight to 'What's New'.

Is this possible in TV Recordings?

okay. Do you want the star-rating text to appear in the description in the detail view of an imdb-searchresult, or as skin parameter for the items in the find-more results list?

Hi, its enough to have the actual number rating appear somewhere in the detailed view when selecting an item from the returnlist from IMDB. You can actually keep the stars and just put the "detailed rating" next to the genre information.

yes, you can configure the default view in the configuration form for the tv recordings plugin through config.exe.

After installing, both the TV Listings and TV Recordings plugin appear in the “Plugins” section of GBPVR’s config application, where you can adjust the plugins’ settings (see below). To enable the TV Recordings Panel, the following line needs to be added to the .\Skin2\<YourSkin>\menu\skin.xml file in the Panels section:
<Panel name="TVRecordings" enabled="true"/>

yes, sub added support for custom panels in pvrx2 some time ago, so I added a recordings panel in the last release of the plugin.

Can TVListings be set as the default TV guide while watching LiveTV?

no, in pvrx2 it's not possible to create external video plugins that are displayed during playback.

But it WAS possible in gbpvr.exe? That's a bummer, I like this much better than the built-iin TV guide.

it was technically possbible to implement such a plugin for gbpvr, yes, although the old tv listings plugin for the gbpvr interface didn't have this ability.

I would like to place the Progress Bar that appears at the top of the screen (that shows How Many Minutes you are into the program, the total length of the program, and a Bar showing how far into the program the playback is) lower on the screen. I looked at the skin.xml and couldn't find which parameters affect this.

Can you point me to which parameter in which skin file affects where this Progress Bar is displayed.

it seems that you're talking about the on screen display during video playback, which is not part of the tv listings plugin.
However, you should be able to adjust the appropiate settings in the osd\skin.xml file.
