If so, then I'll need to set up another round and send you those logs.

OK, new logs. Saved before and after the problem. MadTV picked up mid-show, sched to stop at 11pm (11:02 with pad) on channel 2. Then Cheaters to start at 10:58 on channel 12 (with padding). MadTV has TS file, Cheaters is 0 length.
Hope this helps. Chuck

Did these help? I have multi record turned off for now to resolve. Chuck

With these logs I did find the problem. I've put in a patch, but havnt time to test it yet. If you're keen, you can give it a go and let me know how you get on.

Y'know, I would love to. I think I'll try it later tonight. But first, our Christmas tree just spontaneously fell down, and I lost stuff that was nearly 50 years old. Have to clean up the mess.
I presume this primarily fixes the fact that it was trying to multi-record on several channels, and result was a hung recorder. Does it also fix the problem with the forced exit when subscription expired? This is where it would think it had shut down the recorder, but the tuner was not freed up. I think the same (early) logs showed that part of the issue. Chuck

I think one of my prior logs shows this effect. Would you need a new log to test that? I could do it before patching, later tonight. Would have to let a second program run through to verify I have a repeatable situation that locks the record service.
Looking back, this one (http://www.delta.com/traveling_checkin/a.../index.jsp) shows such an event, with the recording status staying green. Two other times it went white but I could not tune anything until I bounced the recording service. Let me know if you need me to test that. I don't know any other way to force this situation right now. Chuck

No luck, same results. Set up to record Scrubs on ch 2 at 11pm, then Cops on 12, then Everybody loves Raymond on another channel. Scrubs OK, the next two have no bytes in TS. Gotta go to work, sorry about the large number of logs. I did not have time to sort and see what was important. Set up recordings around 10:30. If you need me to sort through, I can. The config was only to go in and check to be sure multi was on. Chuck |
