Frankly, once Ultra is set up I just forget about it, as well as the idiosyncracies of how to decide which boxes to check.

Actually I installed 151 after I posted yesterday. First pass was sweet and swift. However the 2:00 Am run stalled. Here's the log (mcm2xml source)

First, short and sweet means what, 2 minutes? When you install a new version of Ultra, the cache is deleted, and so a very short download is bad news...

Depending on your Internet speed, 25000 North American records should be 20-30 minutes (Though there's some pretty freaky stuff on American TV )

But this message is hard to recreate for me. I think I know what to do to solve it, but I can't test it.

It's like you're having a hiccup with your interent in the middle of the night. Or the server is having a hiccup... Because you and I don't have much problem doing it during the day or evening...

Are you running any other other download software (like torrents) during the epg time? Is it possible that through Task Scheduler AND UpdateEPG.bat, are you calling Ultra at the same time, twice?

Anyway, I'll be trying to catch that error better, reset the connection, retry or give up....

Swift and sweet means fast and perfect. It ran perfectly on Dec 20. All done in about 15 min. Nothing else is down loaded Today it hung with this:

I had to kill from task manager and it was at 50% CPU usage.

On another issue When it fails to ID an episode its displaying this:
Cops - (443)Washington State
If there is a way to ditch this number that would be good.

I'm sorry for not replying at all to this thread...

My silence MEANT, I looked into it, and tried to recreate it. It allways worked perfectly to me and jotted it down to something that goes bump in the night.

Apparentley you have different monsters coming out at night than I do...

I'm wondering if the Recording service is set to interact with desktop.

Ultra is supposed to be checking and setting this, but aparently is having some trouble...

No, that's not it. And the problem automagically disappeared. I think it had something to do with data on TVDB that was NQR (not quite right) matching with mc2xml.
