I have just installed GBPVR 1.3.7 on a newly installed pc with XP SP3. No antivirus installed and Windows Firewall disabled.
Live TV will work at all. I click on Live TV on menu and nothing happens. All other menu options work ok, just live TV does not.

I am using a Hauppage WinTV PVR2 usb. Which is installed properly and works.
I configured capture devices for WinTv PVR Usb, disabled EPG and no channel changer. I have tried changing PVR settings from internal tuner to composite external, but still no success. (Live TV does not open at all).

Any suggestions?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

See attached logs. Live Tv does not "work". When i click on "Live TV" on menu nothing happens. Other options open their relevant menus ok.

Quote:2008-12-28 20:08:07.218 VERBOSE [1] GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use the 'Update EPG' button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information.
It looks like you havent setup your capture source correctly. If you dont see channels listed in your capture source (in config app), then live tv is not going to work in the main app.

Check your EPG source settings.

Hi

I had to add channel manually and now Live TV opens, now there is audio but no picture.

I am struggling with EPG .. Either i dont know how to configure it or we have no channels available in our country. We only have the state TV with 3 channels and a privately run provider providing several channels through satelite.
Any thoughts on this.

You may not have an MPEG2 video decoder installed.

Sorry, I dont really know what EPG options are available in South Africa. Head over to google and search for 'xmltv south africa' and see what it turns up.

http://download.flash.za.org/schedule/zaxmltv.php

It looks like you'd be able to set your capture source to use the 'xmltv' option, then specify the filename as "http://download.flash.za.org/schedule/ZA-XMLTV.xml.gz"
