Do you have another recording that always happens before 'The IT Crowd', on a different frequency, that ends at the same time The IT Crowd is due to start?

Well typically I left my comment until AFTER the current season of "The IT Crowd" has finished, so its difficult to say absolutley, but looking at the my "Season Recording" settings it does look like I have ;

"Gavin and Stacey" BBC 1 - Friday - 21:30-22:00
"The IT Crowd" Channel4 - Friday - 22:00-22:35

I also have the recording options set to start 2 mins early and end 5 mins late. Given that that this padding would actually cause an overlap and the fact that I have a dual tuner card, I would have thought it would still use seperate tuners?

Yeah, I'm fairly sure there is a error in the padding logic breaks this scenario. I'm going to try to fix it later today.

Thanks Sub, at least now I know what causes it and can keep an eye out for it in future.
Happy New Year everyone Smile

I have fixed it now, and will get a patch out in the next couple of days.

I had trouble with back to back recordings until I changed the "Config | Capture Sources" settings:
Minutes pre-show padding and Minutes post-show padding
I changed both to zero and seems to work now. Previously it would record a zero size file when the values where the default 1 and 2 minutes.

Yes, that would probably stop the situation from occurring.

Hi, just wondering if this patch is any closer? Very keen to install it. Is the patch in #24 likely to help at all?
Cheers.

I've got some people testing it. It'll be out in the next day to two.

Hi, sorry to bug you over this. I'm having a few regular recordings fail and I think it's because of this issue. I have reduced the padding down to 0 minutes for pre and post which has helped, but not completely. Is the patch any closer? Thanks ever so much Big Grin
