You guys are far more industrious then I am. I didn't turn my PC on for 4 days over Christmas

I'll be honest I probably won't get back into it for a couple of days but early next year I'll get on filling the resource folder :o

Monday morning roll call...

Updated more stuff to SVN..

My Todo:

PVRX2 plugins:
  • Latest TVListings update (investigate if any xml changes)
  • GBCHESS (New plugin on forum)
  • NetFlix (Verify latest xml's)

Seems like there is one more loose end I cannot remember (have it on my list at home). Should have all the above done tonight. All PvrX2 stuff should then be "Gold".

Then I can work on a few gbpvr.exe plugins to get those working.
Had a play with the plugin and everything appears to be progressing nicely. I'll spend more time looking under the hood on that this week as well.

Plugin is coming along nicely. I've just updated the SVN with the latest build which includes the (in progress) preview system for the editable skin items and config and resources sub-folder for most of the images and image sets here.

My current immediate todo list is:
* Add all the common images marked here as SkinPlugin 'Y' or 'ToDo' to the SkinPluginConfig.xml file and with a working preview.
* Fix some browsing bugs in the SkinPlugin (item description not always showing etc).

Once this is done anyone can start filling up the resources folder with themes, images and layout options... Smile

Todo after that
* Create the helper exe which actually applies theme/images and layout options you've selected.
* and more...

I'm struggling with the graphics a bit, (I think I've been staring at them for far too long now) and finding it tricky timing wise. But if I start holding things up just give me a nod and I'll pull the finger out Smile

Sorry you'll have to speak up, it's hard to hear you with my face smashed into the wall of creative and technical ability Big Grin

It's that old chestnut, it looks fine on my LCD computer monitor but really lacks something on my HTPC's TV. It's a right pain to load graphical edits onto my HTPC to check them out (running back and forth between the PC and the HTPC). So I end up working away on the PC, thinking it looks fine then load it up on the HTPC and it's just not right but I don't really have the chops to know why and where and how to fix it. It then becomes a slog.

Don't get me wrong there's no one holding a gun to my head, I'm do this because I get something out of it, but sometimes it's like swimming through treacle.Rolleyes

If you are fighting with corner radii looks, that is a losing battle due to CRT using rectangular "pixles" vs square pixels on an LCD.

Unfortunately it's way more fundamental than that.

Simply, CS Blue looks washed out. I can't seem to work out how to get the contrast needed to make it engaging and colourful enough but also have the text legible.

It's why those pro designers get the big bucks Big Grin

Plugin is coming along nicely. Plan to work on adding the ability to actually apply the layout and graphic options you've selected.

How are you guys getting along?
