new install only red button works

For various reasons I have re-installed my gbpvr setup which had been working fine for years, going through each upgrade as it came out.

But for some strange reason I could not update the community skin or the skin plugin, their install always failed because they didnt apparently have write permissions to the folders they wanted to install into. Everything else seemed to be able to install, so I thought what the heck I'll just re-install the whole thing.

The re-install went fine without any difficulties and the skins stuff installed fine as well.

But since then Musiclibrary2 only responds to the red, blue, yellow and green buttons if I am using the standard blue skin.

If I use the community skin only the red button works

the keyboard shortcuts react in the same way

I think it may be some interaction between MLpanel and musiclibrary2 but I dont know why as this set up worked perfectly before

As far as I know I am using latest versions of everything

to get album art displayed I have to either use the blue skin or back out of musiclibrary and select the mlpanel plugin


has anybody seen this issue and if so how do I fix it

I did have these problems with ML3 and the ML2 which is based on the ML3. I went back to ML2 v7.2

It could be, also could be a conflict with having both ML3 and ML2 loaded and running. I was getting some conflict between the two. I have got some fixed code for that. But if you're happy with ML2 7.2 then it's probably worth staying on it.

the fix seems to be that the graphic files were missing in the folder

C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\skin\Community3\MusicLibrary2\

once they have been copied from the blue folder everything seems to work again.

Yes I am happy with 7.2 for daily use. If there are any major improvements in ML3 I can easily switch for testing.
