Happy late new year everone!

I have been using GBPVR v.. 97.13 for a while and although it had its problems nothing was bad enough for me to switch.
However as I ran out of space and needed to update my drive I decided to upgrade to 1.3.7.
The upgrade went smoothly as soon as I uninstalled the old version (thank you Sub).
I have recently moved to schedules direct as I got annoyed with the constant updates I had to do to my custom scraper, and didn't think it would be a problem when upgrading to the new version of GBPVR.
Unfortunately there seems to be some problems between the 2. I'm using i-xmltv which as meantioned worked fine on 97.13
What I experience now is that in the about 10 days I have had 1.3.7 i have had to manually reload the epg 3 times.
First time I noticed that there were no data in the guide so i went out and ran the upgrade from the config tool.
The second time I figured I would use the integrated tool however that didnt work so I once again went to the config tool.
Third time (today) there were data in the guide but I couldn't start a show until I had reloaded the epg (again from the config tool)
Any ideas into why this is happening would be helpful (even if you tell me to go back to my own custom scaper)
So to summarize the auto loader of epg doesn't always work in 1.3.7

Thanks

PS I noticed a couple of minor bugs in 1.3.7 where do I report those?

I'm not aware of any issues with this. I've not seen anything reported, so I'm guessing its not a GB-PVR problem - possibly something like i-xmltv failing to download for whatever reason, then you're feeding GB-PVR and empty file, or something like that. As far as I know, this stuff is 100% reliable.

Next time you notice it, post the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log* files, and I'll check to see what happened at the time it last attempted the EPG update.

Post them in the support forum.

Sub,

Thank you for the fast response!
The TVGuide.xml is not empty infact its much bigger than when I had my scraper (18mb vs 4mb) as it downloads additional info.

I'm wondering if its a timing or locking issue in which case it would be simple to setup a delayed load of the epg into GB-PVR.
In any case I'll upload the log next time I see the problem.

Thanks again for a great program with great support.

The best thing you can do is upload the logs next time you see the problem. It'll at least give us a summary of what listings it loaded from the xmltv file you're supplying.

You're not running 'PVRX2.exe -EmptyEPG' from a batch file somewhere? I've seen some users doing this in the past. You shouldnt do this.

Do you have a UpdateEPG.bat file? What is in that file?

Sub,

This is a fresh install with only i-xmltv added but I did do a search and didn't find any emptyepg references.

I do have a postupdateepg.bat file with the following

cd C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr
EPGExtra.exe > EPGExtra.log

Sub,

I experienced the problem again yesterday the 15th. I have zipped the logs for that day as well as for the 14th just in case.

I didn't notice anything strange but then again I don't know what to look for :p

Thanks again for looking at this.

From your logs:
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

looks like it's not able to connect to your recording service. I'm not exactly sure the answer but I know i've seen this on the forums before. maybe try a search for that error message here in the forums.

The recording service seems to have crashed in the middle of updating the EPG. I'm not sure what this error message means though, and I've not seen any other reports of it.
