The tuning assistant is only for analog channels, and performs no purpose in GB-PVR other than helping users understand what frequencies their analog channels are broadcast on.
With a digital card you need to setup a capture source, then hit the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button and it'll begin scanning.

oh... that's why that option appeared, cis I can't say I've seen it before lol

Sorry to ask silly questions, but I'm a rookie to the digital world
It added all channels although I can just use some of them as digital. I just tested to watch a channel that I know can be digital, but that also is available as analog, how do I know or set to use the digital version of these channels?

Those channels that arent available on the digital source will be disabled automatically if not mapped. The chooses whether to use the digital or analog. It general picks the top capture source for recordings and the bottom one for live tv.

Well that won't go so good, the config keeps crashing on me.
I'll up all the logs. I cleared all logs before I tried this. It seems just to start but then it crashes. Don't know if you need it but I also added the debug info that was in the .Net "crash-window"

I'm fairly sure you've chosen the wrong Nova-T device. You've selected the really old model that was a rebadged Technotrend device, and its failing to find it in your machine.
On the screen where you select your card type, tick the 'only show devices detected in this machine' checkbox.

It started good. I changed it to a Nova-T (90002) but i got three others there too
HVR-1300, 3000(DVB-T) and 4000(DVB-T) but since I thought the Nova-T seemed the best then I choose that. It started to scan all channels with no crash and I was jumping in my chair lol but no channels at all was found. later scans keeps crashing so I tried them all with the same result I even restarted the PC. I'll try to reinstall the drivers from the CD instead of the downloaded

Quote:I changed it to a Nova-T (90002) but i got three others there tooThese all use the same drivers for DVB-T, so GB-PVR cant tell the difference between them. Any would have been fine, but choosing the "Nova-T (90002)" option makes the most sense. Quote:It started to scan all channels with no crash and I was jumping in my chair lolDo a scan then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.
hmm... sitting here trying to clear the logs before doing this, I happened to change the device number of this. I know I made an error just recently so I had changed this to number 3 since I got no1 and 2 for the analog receivers. After I changed this back from 3 to 1, the scan started to work again.
Still don't seem top find any channels at all tho... bbl with result UPDATE: Still no channel found. UPDATE2: I removed my DVD from the PC to use that in another machine so I had to download it. This is what I got: http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/site/support/...other.html and the file is: CD Version 2.18c (nova-pci218c.exe) may this be incorrect? yep it is... sorry downloading the 4.6 version drivers now... have to restart after the install but i cant do that right now since im recording... ill do that in the adverts... |
