Available at the wiki site

* New feature: Drive space screen now shows an estimate for how much space will be needed to store pending recordings (assuming variable bit rate encoding). The Disk Space Dialog skin.xml skin file has been updated as part of this. (see picture below)

* New feature: Toggle to video preview mode can now be either with the unnamed button on the old Hauppauge remote (Control O on the key board) or the stop button (control S on the keyboard)

* New feature: Option to not show DVD2MPEG on MVP. The default is to show the DVD2MPEG button on the MVP. To hide it, check the check box on the DVD to MPEG Settings tab of the plug-in settings.

* New feature: If you are using ZAP2IT for your listings (or some other source that provides a UniqueID for programs), you can specify if you would like to Video Archive plug-in to clear your pending recordings list of shows that you have previously recorded or duplicates in the pending list itself. The default is to not do this. To enable this behavior, check the check box on the Basic tab of the plug-in settings.

* Modification: Changed panel skin to remove the surrounding box; it is now just text on the skin background. (see picture below)

* Bug fix: Now properly handles cases where the GBPVR recording directory is a drive root (e.g. H:\)

* Bug fix: The plug-in will no longer fail if it encounters a corrupted or invalid graphic image file (e.g. movie posters, folder images)

* Bug fix: Now displays a name for manual recordings in the file list (name used to be displayed as blank)

Thanks for the update. You might want to consider updating the extract location for the video archive.mdb file in the .zip archive. Otherwise, you're gonna see lots of people ask why their config.exe program keeps crashing now that they've installed the latest version of this plugin.

Do you mean to get rid of the leading "Program Files" part of the path? If so, I would like to know how to do that. I don;t understand why Winzip keeps starting the root path there instead of devnz, which is what I would like and what every other plug-in starts with. I am sure it is something obvious and easy, but I am stumped.

A quick update. In this release I tried to add a feature to cache images to speed up display performance. However with more testing I have found that it does not always work properly. So, I recommend that you disable the cache for now. This is done by going to the Display Settings tab of the plug-in configuration and, at the lower left corner, unchecking the "Cache images" option. Unfortunatly I set the default to be true so you will all need to manually change this setting. When I figure out how to fix this I will post an update.

No I think he means that the MDB file looks like it should be in gbpvr, however it is actually in Jeff.

Thanks for the update, I'll look at downloading and upgrading this evening. Looks like the delete pending is kinda like the record tracker function to eliminate duplicate recordings?

The version that starts in the Jeff directory is an empty template. It is copied to where ever the actual archive is to be stored (as specified in the config settings) and the copy is then used to store information.

Yes, it is, although it only uses the UniqueID. Also, since it is used by the video archive panel and by the "show pending" feature of the video archive plug-in, it is updated throughout the day to reflect the current pending list status and thus will, for example, purge duplicates if you manually read a show you have previously recorded. This might not be a desirable behavior for some, but I found it useful since I found that when I would look at the TV guide I would sometimes read shows thinking GBPVR had skipped them when in fact they had been purposefully removed because I had already seen them. This way the plug-in prevented me from undoing what it had done. If someone does not like this behavior then record tracker (which only purges after the nightly EPG update) might be a better fit.

Jeff, as always - love your plugin. I'm excited about the clear duplicates functionality, as well, but I've run into a problem with it. I record the NBC Nightly News every day. It seems that Zap2it uses the same unique ID for each night (SH0030610000). So, after recording it last night, Video Archiver has cancelled all future nights. It looks like it is doing a good job otherwise, cancelling the second airing of several programs that are airing twice this week. I'll keep monitoring it for any other issues, though.

Any ideas about this? Do you know if Zap2it reuses unique IDs for other shows? Maybe there needs to be an option to exclude certain programs from the duplicate checking. Thanks

This is precisely why I remove the zap2it-no-duplicates logic out of the season recordings in the GB-PVR core. This was in place for a few releases last year, but people were complaining about episodes of various season recordings not being scheduled. This turned out to be the cause. I did wonder if it had something to do with the 0000 at the end. It was easier to remove at the time.

Yes, this is also done for several other shows.

You are correct. The unique ID in Zap is series identifier followed by eposide identifier. For news shows or talk shows there is no eposide identifier therefore all zeros.

I believe I experienced the same problem with the MDB as Networker.
The first time I installed the Video Archive plugin, config would crash. I looked at the .log files and found a cannot find video archive.mdb error. I just copied the MDB file from the Jeff directory to the gbpvr directory and all was good.

Cheers,

Larry
