Can anyone tell me which configuration files are used to schedule recordings? I think I used XRecord to schedule a few of my favorite shows. But at the moment this plugin will give me "error, Specified comparer threw an exception".
When using the 'Recordings' tab I found 1808 episodes available after recording. I know some shows are repeated endless but this is rediculous.

Which files do I need to tweak to setup my recordings?

(and after that I will ask how to change the parameters, but lets first try :p )

Thx

All recordings (Ready, Pending, & Reoccuring) are stored in gbpvr.mdb

Thanks for clearing that up. So I could just delete the db and start over or is there any other stuff in there too? I'll try in a minute.

So the build in recording uses the gbpvr.mdb and XRecord uses priorityrecordings.xml. And I just read that we better use one or the other. Am I on the right track?

Now I still have this error when starting XRecord "error, Specified comparer threw an exception". Any hints on how to solve that one?

Thx

XRecord uses the main db, the cdk scheduler uses the priorityrecordings.xml to determine what to schedule into the main db.

As for xrecord can you make sure you are running the latest on wiki and repro it then send me the logs to jared_dubin at hotmail.com

You got me beat! I had over 800 entries for Lost! It was something to do with the way I was trying to do a manual recording. I removed all scheduled programs, and I went into the database, and manually removed all of them. Definately make a copy of the gbpvr database before mucking with it, and shut down gbpvr and all services for it before trying.

Thanks all! I did just that. Started with installing MS Access first and opened the db. I cleared all table items and suddenly XRecord works too!

So now I'm programming using the Xrecord menu and editing the priorityrecordings.xml and the shows are listed correctly in the reoccuring display. Lets hope for the best.
