I've got this error during installation and I have no idea how to fix it. the application won't run properly (the dropdown boxes are all blank) makes me suspect it's some parsing xml or settings/config thing.

i can't launch the config, tuner etc applications either.

did you install the vcredist_x86.zip file first ?

Hello people,

I have to thank skippy_nz for the above suggestion. I was experiencing the same HRESULT problem with installation of a 3D modeling software that I regularly use. It took me some time but figured out that I was missing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 redistributable package. After reading the above thread, I did some googling and downloaded the C++ 2005 SP1 file. It is required for some graphics programs to work properly and VOILA, my installation is succesful and the software is working great.
