Looking through the resources folder (great work btw Hairy - high quality throughout), I see that the images are named things like "Graphics\Buttons\Glossy\Rounded\Normal\Button_Normal - Light.png".

Although the names are clear and match to the CS Blue themes I think that when using the SkinPlugin to browse the options the names should be more descriptive. Using the above example a better name might be "Graphics\Buttons\Glossy\Rounded\Grey.png".

What are your thoughts guys?

I agree, it could also be Theme-Color.png if needs better definition.

Yeah I was a little worried about this. They say that in a good system, the file you're looking for is no more than 3 folders deep, so this format was really pushing it.

I almost feel compelled to do a theme set named "Huzzah, WOW and Blah" just so we can do this Big Grin

As presumptuous and ambitious as this sounds my thinking behind these graphics, was that they would be theme agnostic. I was hoping that if I could get these basic building block graphics neutral and usable, then anyone interested could create a different looking theme simple by creating a background and popups. I've no idea if it works yet, but I was hoping to make it easier for people to tackle a theme if the basics were already done and usable.

So that's why they're each broken down into separate folders (especially the buttons and selectors), it also mean I can then add to them if they work out (eg. the selected buttons are in a colour folder-green- so that I can then add blue, red, yellow and so on).

I have absolutely no problem with any way you guys want to name or structure them.

Hairy - are Resources\Graphics\Selectors\Glossy\Rounded\Inactive the same graphics as any of the Resources\Graphics\Selectors\Glossy\Rounded\Normal options?

If not, how would you describe them with regards to Clear, Dark and Light.

No they're slightly different.

The buttons and selectors graphics are basically grouped by style, shape and opacity.
  • Clear: opacity = 0%
  • Light: white opacity = 17%
  • Dark: black opacity = 34%

The idea here is to compensate for taste and differing calibrated displays.

The Inactive graphics have a slightly different style (to make them more easy to differentiate when an option is selected but inactive) and a white opacity of 34%.

I completely see where you're coming from but I'm not exactly sure how to name them in a more user friendly way.

So what would be the name of the style? Smile
