IRServer not changing channels on STB

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum or not and apologise if not.

I’m trying to get IRServer to change channels on my STB but seem to be having problems.

I’ve configured IRServer as outline at http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mce-re...ete-29024/ .

The problem I seem to have is that when I use the remote to change channels it seems to change channels with in the display of LiveTV but does not change the channel on the STB. I have looked in the IRServer log files and in the IR Blast.log I get the following entries:
2009-02-09 22:15:48.734375 - Info: Connected to server
2009-02-09 22:15:58.031250 - Warn: Failed to register with server host "localhost", blasting not sent

Could this be the source of my problems? If so, how do I correct. If not, does any one have any other ideas?

try setting recording service to logon with 'interact w/desktop' checked...

Have you selected to use the correct channel changer in the souces tab of config.

I set the Channel Changer to ".exe changer plugin". I'm fairly certain that I entered the correct path to the "IRBlast.exe" but am unable to check since I'm at work and the computer GBPVR is on is at home.

I have verified that I have configured the Channel Changer to point to IRBlast.exe and have entered the parameters as indicated in the document. I assume this is correct.

When I “Test” the "learned" buttons in the Translator, it changes channels on my STB. But when I have PVRX2 running and I try to change channels on the STB it does not work.

Are there any log files I could be looking in to try and determine what is not happening?

Any suggestion on what I’m missing?

As suggested by pBS above, did you enable the 'allow service to interact with desktop' setting?

Yes I did. I also restarted the service. But this did not help either.

I have managed to get the remote to change channels by using the up/down buttons but event using these buttons is not very consistent. It seems to pick random channels.

When I press 0-9 buttons on the remote nothing seems to happen.

When using the TVGuide and selecting a channel to watch, it displays the correct channel at the bottom of the screen with the description (in the LiveTV window), but it does not seem to pass the channel to the STB.

Any suggestions on how to get the channel passed to the STB?

If your post the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log, then I can check GB-PVR is living up do it's end of the bargain and running your specified executable. If it is, but isnt doing the job, then IRServer Suite probably doesnt like it being run from a service or something.
