This is an option on the Misc tab of the config app - what does it do?

The UHF carrier for DVB-T can be either at actual frequency or +/-166KHz (actually +167/-166 in the UK).

Hauppauge DVB-T cards check the offsets automatically but others don't. With that option set, GB-PVR will try all three frequencies explicitly rather than just submitting the 'centre-frequency'.

Cheers,

Australia and the UK use a scheme that transmits DVB-T stations +/-166MHz of the center frequency. Most devices can auto lock the correct frequency when you try tuning the center frequency. There is a small number of device that will only lock the exact frequency, so in the UK and Australia these devices need option enabled to explicitly scan DVB-T offsets.

LOL - looks like sub and I had an overlap in posts.

Interesting from sub though - I didn't realise it was specifically the UK and Australia.

I have needed to use the offset in Ireland too with a HVR-1100 although that was during the "trial". I think now it scans fine without the offset...
