anyone know of remote software that can see hex from mce reciever?

im trying to get the codes for system standby off my sony remote - problem is, it appears to send two sets of code, the first one turns off my reciever, the 2nd turns off the tv - now, the reason i want this is for discrete coding so if the pc turns off, so does the receiver + tv (i have home made daisy chained blasters, total of 6 running off the one mce reciever, so not a problem to put one on tv + one on reciever)...

found intelliremote has a HID tester that shows the MCE strings, which show two distinct different codes coming through when i press the standby buttons

frustrating, anyone have any ideas? im fresh out + not a programmer....

the MCE remote gives out two codes for each key press. Look up debounce in google and you'll see some description of what's happening. Either one should work according to remotecentral.com

why not just learn the code with ir server suite
I thought it would pick up the button press and show 2 codes on the left if you have it set to show what is received
then just drag those codes to the right hand side and assign to 2 separate buttons for testing. Then reassign to a new button with your standby for the pc or what ever you want to do

'set to show whats recieved'? unsure if you can do this. you can see the codes if you open the .IR files, problem is it stops learning as soon as it sees a complete code, so it'll stop after the first learn.

jan zhou - its the sony remote, not the mce remote sending two distinctly different codes
