Google remote Desktop disables itself

Hello,
I would like to know if anyone else is having this problem where Google remote desktop disables itself.  It is getting frustrating.  I always have to go back in and reinstall it.  Try telling an 80 year young person how to reenable it.  IF so how did you remedy it.  I did a google search and came across a post touting anyviewer as an alternative to google remote desktop.

If the remote PC is running Windows 10 or later, checkout Quick Assist. It's built in to the OS and works pretty well. It doesn't have an unattended mode, but it's pretty easy to talk someone through launching it and providing the access code to you.

I've been using RealVNC for several years. I think the free version allows 4-5 clients. realvnc dot com.
I've never needed someone at the other end to help with the connection.
