Screensaver

I have the Screensaver plugin installed to show a slideshow for the screensaver, and prior to upgrading to the current version (1.3.11) it worked. Now when the screensaver would normally turn on, my MVP reboots. I tried the MLPanel as the screensaver, but couldn't get the slideshow working. I wanted to go back to the default screensaver, but can't seem to get it going. What does the screensaver section of the config file for gbpvr need to look like to go back to the default screensaver? Is there anything else I need to do (aside from disabling the screensaver plugin)?

I tried the MLPanel as the screensaver, but couldn't get the slideshow working.

I would be interested to know what problem you had with MLPanel's slideshow.

I'll let it go through a cycle this evening and will post the logs. In regards to the MLPanel, it's been a month or so since I tried it, but if I remember correctly it kept coming up with a picture of the MVP remote. It's possible I may not have had it configured correctly as I recall the documentation wasn't real clear to me.

Out of the box MLPanel starts off with the MVP remote (help screen). Use the right and left arrow keys to cycle through the available views till you find one you like best. Some views are designed for slide show mode and some are for album art. MLP will remember the last view you displayed between pvrx2 sessions.

There is nothing obvious in the logs. Does the build in screensaver still work if you switch back to it?

I disabled the Screensaver plugin, but the default one still doesn't engage. Do I have to manually change the screensaver section of the config.xml file? If so, what does it need to look like?

Yes. You have to revert the changes you made when you installed it:

To use MLPanel as your default screen saver
edit ..\devnz\gbpvr\config.xml
and change
<ScreenSaverPlugin>Default Screen Saver</ScreenSaverPlugin>
to
<ScreenSaverPlugin>MLPanel</ScreenSaverPlugin>

Thanks for the info. I couldn't get MLPanel to work. I didn't put a lot of time into it though. The default screensaver does work. I was hoping to get something different (i.e. slideshow), but it will do for the time being.
