I had a screensaver launching as a custom task when using VMR9 custom, but since a new graphics card has forced me to VMR9 FSE the screen saver now just shows a box saying 'Cannot create the direct 3D device'.
I've tried the option to 'hide GBPVR' in the custom task options, but no luck.
Any ideas or workarounds?

just a thought, try a non-3d screensaver! that way it won't be trying to use the 3d device...
may not do anything to gbpvr screen tho..mine just blanks the other screen..[leaving gbpvr visible only]

I don't think that will work. In FSE, nothing will display 'in front of' GB-PVR

i use(d) the screen saver as a picture slide show, rather than a screen saver so picking another one isn't really an option anyway. thanks tho.

Keep an eye out for the release of the new version of MLPanel (it is being alpha tested right now) it is able to be setup as your default screen saver within the gb config file & has a built in picture slide show along with lots of other neat features Smile

always up for trying new plugins! The 'slideshow' i'm after is a copy of the apple osx one that pans and zooms through photos (at least until someone manages to reverse engineer the leopard mosaic slideshow onto windows:p). it gives them a real something else compared to straight fade in and outs. any chance of this appearing in MLPanel??? Smile
borrow any mac to see what i'm on about or here for the windows 'version' http://www.cs.ucr.edu/~gstitt/motionpicture/

To be honest, we haven't thought about animated transitions so far - but it is definitely something we'll look at in the future, although how far we can go depends on what is possible with GBPVR.
