I realize that this request is unique and 99.999% of the users would have no need for it.

My local cable provider is incompetent. I am not just talking about the normal grumbling about cable tv service. These people are world class incompetent.

They provide cable television service to our complex (through an exclusive contract) by a bunch of Dish Network receivers at a head end on our site and then pass the signal on to us. It is not unusual for them to set a receiver to the wrong satellite feed for a channel, e.g. point to the East Coast U.S. feed when they are supposed to pick up the West Coast feed. This ends up making the listings off by three hours and useless for scheduling recordings. During these times I have to use manual recording but besides the inconvenience, this method also loses all the program description.

The solution is not to wait until Schedule Direct has its own ability to fix lineups because these interruptions are temporary but could last weeks until the jokers who maintain the system fix their mistakes.

If I could set a unique offset in CONFIG for each individual channel then I could compensate for the problem until it goes away.

Nevermind. I solved this for myself.

I found that it is trivial to write my own program to shift the times in the xmltv.xml file for the programs for the channels that have the problems.

I would offer it to all but I'm sure my situation is very unique and I am a hobby programmer and the program is going to be initially a crude thing not likely to be "ready for prime time" use by others.

UPDATE: Here is a TimeOffset program written by someone else that does exactly what I requested in my Wish List item. I am posting the link to it for any others who have the same need.[/COLOR]

UltraXMLTV Enhancer has added this capability to its new version currently in beta testing.

That means you could either use the TimeOffset program or UltraXMLTV Enhancer to do the shifting of listings on a per channel basis.
