Sub.....do I need to do anything special to get this to work:

"- Added aspect ratio control for VMR7/VMR9. Press the F7 key to toggle between aspect ratios. Additional custom ratios can be added to config.xml if required."

Only one small thing I noticed since my above post. The weather plugin defaulted to New Zealand, and I had to go back to MSN, find the right code for my city, and config it. Not a big deal, just thought I'd mention it.

Well I still have my problem with PLAY ALL and Playlists only playing the first song on the MVP. I updated to the latest MVP Beta (23038) and tried that just for fun :eek: without luck. I also tried disabling the MVP screensaver in case that was having an effect, but was unable to get it to disable.

I have a D3A MVP. Am I the only person having this problem with a D3A MVP?

I'm only using GB-PVR for it's cool UI flexibility--I don't do any PVR functions on my PC and have no capture card installed (I left Capture Source and Playback as default in Config). I'm using the following plugins (Blue skin):

Music Library
Video Library
Weather
Theater
Theater Refresh (custom task to call GetTheaterListings.exe)
Comics
News Feeds
Net Radio

I'm having the same exact problem as pauly666 (on a D3A). I posted a few weeks ago about it in the MVP forum on here, but never got a response that helped. The Play All functionality doesn't work because the screensaver comes on before the end of the first song, so the MVP doesn't know to switch to the next song. The same thing happens in the Jukebox. I even went so far as to hack a 58 second timer into the Jukebox plugin that called the needsRendering() function just so the screensaver wouldn't come on anymore.

This has been happening in the last few releases of GBPVR. Everything worked fine several releases ago, but I unfortunately don't have those version numbers anywhere.

Other than that, the software works beautifully. If there was an easy, reliable way to turn off the screensaver on the MVP, all of these problems would go away.

Hi, I'm not sure this is exactly true BUT Paul and I have had several discussions to make this work as fortunately I dont have the problem.

Using MyMusic, if you set the Config/Show Info button, the screensaver does not kick in anyway, which strangely enough was a function I would have liked thats why Reven introduced the extra setting.

Th other problem with GBPVR was only playong one song if switching back to Main Menu (In my case to get the screensaver;-))). Sub fixed that in this release.

I am on Rev E1 in the UK so maybe it IS version dependent or maybe I'm just lucky.

Also try running it with MVP services all off.

I apparently misspoke earlier when I said that the MVP doesn't know to switch to the next song after playing the first one. I haven't used the Jukebox in a little while because my hack makes the delay between songs in random mode inconsitent and I haven't had a chance to fix it (and I don't use My Music because of the dir structure of my songs). But I digress.

Anyways, I put a few songs in my playlist and am listening to it right now. The screensaver is on and the playlist is advancing like it should. At the end of the playlist, other songs don't start randomly playing (the entire reason I use the MVP at this point). If I push a button on the remote, the last screen the MVP was showing is reshown. Apparently needsRendering() isn't called until I push another button on the remote.

So from what I can tell and without knowing the GBPVR backend code, needsRendering() should be called when the end of the current playlist ends. That would refresh the screen (turning the screensaver off, which is fine), and should make everything else fall into place. I could be wrong, but that makes sense in my mind.

I am not sure if I follow all you say and how it affects plugins other than Jukebox, as I use MyMusic.

I do have the situation that when displaying a page of album art, it does not show unitil I use a scroll button, Reven says something to do with time to refresh etc and that it would stop the screensaver. I have a Plasma and can be paranoid about screen-burn and therefor this a bit of a quest for me and wonder if your hack might be on the right track?

I tried with all MVP services off, tried the Jukebox... still only the first song plays.

Without being able to play back more than one song, gb-pvr is useless to me, so I'll be leaving gb-pvr for now in the hopes that one day sub fixes things.

I have to say great job, again! I really like the improved web admin. The speed and responsiveness of the MVP has dramaticaly improved; big thanks for this!

I am still seeing a condition that has been around for a while. When selecting "Season (this channel, this time slot)" if get additional recording if the same show name is in an adjacent time slot. Is that because of padding 1 minute on each end?

Any chance of getting "Season (new episodes)" in the next release?

I am still seeing a condition that has been around for a while. When selecting "Season (this channel, this time slot)" if get additional recording if the same show name is in an adjacent time slot. Is that because of padding 1 minute on each end?

I'm seeing the same situation here (though I'm still on 91.09) and I don't pad the front or the back of the show. I think it's just a bug.
