On Friday 3/6, I set up a couple manual recordings. I went with manual because I was going to be out of town and I was not sure how the system would react to the DST change. I basically wanted to setup to record ch 7.1 and ch 9.1 from 6PM to 11PM on Sunday 3/9. I have a dual tuner HVR 2250 so this is normally not a problem. While doing these manual records, I realized that I had accidentally set the 7.1 recording to 6AM-11AM. I selected the recording and used the Update option to set to 18:00-23:00.

When I got back on Sunday evening (around 9:45) I noticed that my recording for ch 9.1 was running (as expected) but the recording for ch 7.1 was not running. I tried to watch the recording and got just a blank screen. I went and looked at the TS file and it was only 600KB large.

I'm by no means an expert at looking at my log files as I've only been using the software about a month, but it looks to me like both programs were set to record using tuner 2. Since I had originally entered the wrong time for 7.1, this would have been acceptable, but it appears that it was not updated once I updated the times on 7.1. Therefore, at 6PM, ch 7.1 started recording on tuner 2 and almost immediately afterward, the ch 9.1 recording took over tuner 2. All the while, tuner 1 was inactive.

Anyway, that's what I got from the logs but I could be wrong. They are attached. If I read them correctly, there could be a bug here.

Hmm. Ok. I'll put this on my list to check.

Thanks. It's not a huge deal especially now that I know about it. Plus I usually set recordings from the guide.

Forgot to mention that I am using the latest version.

Thanks,

It probably been there always, and never noticed by anyone, so I agree - probably not a big deal. Not many do manual recordings, and even less probably update the times of the recording.
