Video is fine. Live TV plays video and audio with no problems. Playing the files in VLC media player plays the recordings with no problems.

Looked around the forums, I couldn't see a similar issue.

Logs rar'ed and attached.

Also, files are recordeds as mpgs, I've tried both decoders with no luck.

What audio decoders have you tried on the Playback tab of the config app? Avoid the 'MPEG Audio Decoder' option. If you only have that and 'system default' listed, then you'll probably need to install another decoder.

Indeed, that's all I have, I'm trying to keep the system as codec free as I can. What do you recommend as another mpeg audio decoder?

Maybe try this one: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPA_Decoder.htm

And now I seem to be having video issues. Some things play fine, others will only play in VLC. I switched the video decoders and either the same problems happen (video opens for 1 second then returns to the GUI) or only a black screen plays. I looked around the forum and they seem to suggest avivo or cyberlink, but those are both purchased decoders, right?
