I was experiencing many little issues with GBPVR so I decided to do a fresh install. All of my problems are now gone, but I have a new one. When I open GBPVR from the PCH and choose MovieWiz it comes up fine. But I cannot navigate through the movie list. It is completely non responsive to any remote keys. The only thing I can do is hit the power button on the remote, which takes me out of GBPVR completely. I can go into TVGuide, Recordings, Music, Weather, etc. without any issues. I am not sure if it's a skin issue. I am using the Mayhem3 skin. I also remember a while back I had some slow, lagging issues and we tried a few dll files and it finally got resolved (dll version 1.0.17.5). See this post: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...hlight=PCH. I figured this fix would have been implemented into new versions (I'm running1.0.24.0). I am looking for a starting point of troubleshooting. Should I copy over the dll that I previously used, should I try a different skin, or something else? I have attached the dll I was using before if you'd like to take a look at it.

Thanks

Is there any error indicated in the log file?

Could you try this with the Blue skin and see if the behavior is different?

I hadn't looked at the log yet. I figured that this may be a known issue. I'll try changing the skin. If it still happens, I'll zip/post logs.

Thanks

I changed the skin to blue and tried MovieWiz. The plugin loads fast, but then none of the remote keys get responses (except power). Logs attached.

The logs only capture output from one PCH so you are going to have to AutoStart one MVP server and do this test again.

martin, I take it you have a PCH. Do you use MovieWiz? Do you know of anyone using MovieWiz with a PCH?

I don't have a PCH, so I cannot recreate here. I do have a MVP and it seems to work fine on it.

No sorry I don't use MovieWiz. The logs should pinpoint the trouble pretty quickly.

I have GBPVR config autostarting 2 servers. I'm not sure why they are not showing up in the logs. I rebooted the server last night and tried to access MovieWiz from the PCH this morning. I'm still having the same issue. This is very odd since it was working fine prior to reinstall. Logs attached.

I know you have it autostarting 2 servers that is why I asked you to reset it to 1, only one server is logged and so you stand a 50-50 chance of not being logged at all. You were lucky this time.

There definitely look like an MovieWiz error on the log on each keypress. However it is also possible that MovieWiz is not compatible with incremental updates. I would turn off in config.xml for your MAC address and see if that helps (it will slow down your other screens). The seting to change will look like tis.

<MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>false</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>

Looks like maybe a problem with the WizUiHelper DLL

Code:
2009-03-25 06:51:21.171 ERROR [6] Method not found: 'System.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs WizUtilities.WizUiHelper.AWizUiControl.MappedKey(System.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs)'.

I'm not at my machine at the moment so don't have access to the code. Make sure you have the most current version of the WizDLLs. I'll try and take a look at this tonight.
