How to record Transport Stream (.ts) using WinTV??

Hello,

I just bought an HVR-1600 with the impression that it could record actual transport stream (.ts) files. But when I record a QAM signal, it saves the program stream (.mpeg file).

Is there a way to record and save the actaul transport stream via WinTV or any other method.

I new to PCTV since I'm trying to save on my Satellite bill, u kno...the economy sucks right now.

GB-PVR records transport streams if you're using the "TS Mux" option.

To extend on Sub's reply, GBPVR will record TS if you set the BDA mux to TS on the MISC2 tab of config. Is it possible you are converting the TS to MPEG under the processing tab without knowing it? Leave TS files as no conversion if the result you want is TS. Hope that helps!
