I just get a black screen (blank) when I click on some show from the TV guide listings - it shows the show info and a couple of buttons, as if it thinks the show is playing in the background - but it is just a black screen. I thought it was just because my EPG data was all messed up, but I am getting good data now, or at least intelligible data.

Any comments?

If you zip up the log files in the gbpvr directory and attache them to the thread someone will be along to have a look at them.

Of course. Sorry - here are the logs. And, I'm running 1.3.11, on Vista Home Premium, 32bit.

What video decoders have you tried?

Umm, I haven't messed with those settings, I guess. I installed the CCCP pack, which installed FFDSHOW, etc. But, I didn't actually go change any settings in GBPVR. I think the default setting it is on is something like VMR9 (?) - I'm not on that computer right now. I don't really know anything about decoders, so I wasn't sure about changing it and messing something else up.

From that initial look at your logs, I think its related to your video decoders, so I'd try other decoder before anything else.

So, the options I see under "PVRX2.exe Video Renderer" are:

VMR9 Custom
VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive
EVR (Enhanced Video Renderer)
Overlay manager

Of those, only EVR produced an image on my screen. The rest gave me audio, but no video. And, while this can't be related to the decoder, even on the EVR, it only shows me the same channel, no matter what channel I change to. But, I think I saw a post like that, so I will do some more research on that.

I was talking about the video decoder, not the video renderer.

But, if my vid card has hardware Mpeg2 decoding, does this do anything for me?
