Sometimes when I use LiveTV it plays fine with no stutter and my network monitor on Vista (Reliability and Performance Monitor) indicates about 1MBytes per second are being received by the Vista client.
Sometimes, however, the LiveTV stutters terribly and is virtually unviewable, and the network use is about 3.7MBytes per second.
Why this difference. This is with no config changes between readings. It seems to be random whether it uses 3.7 or 1 MB, why?
My network between teh client and the server is a power cable network with a claimed thruput of 200Mbits/sec and should be able to make 7MBytes/sec. I'd really like to use this over wireless, but clearly wont be able to do that whilst this problem remains.
Anyway, the main problem is why its so inconsistent in its network utilisation.
