After 5 months of (reasonably) hard work, myself, Fatmando and Hairy are pleased to announce a full public release of V4 of the Community Skin.
  • See the Community Skin wiki page for more info and the all important download links.
  • To avoid clogging up the announcements forum, please post on the Community Skin support forum with any bug reports or suggestions.
  • See below for details of some of the major changes and cool new features.
  • Simpler Installation: The Community Skin and SkinPlugin have been combined into one intelligent installer.
  • New Default Theme: The Community Skin now contains a new default theme (additional themes will be made available as separate downloads).
  • Two versions: The Community Skin has been separately optimized for Standard Displays (4:3) and WideScreen displays (16:9).
  • Improved SkinPlugin UI: Editable elements have been organized into categories (Themes, Graphics, Layout and Text) to make it easier to find what you’re looking for. Options are also better structured with the use of sub folders (making it much easier to browse through the range options than it was before). In addition, options can have a description which may help with deciding.
  • Global Textsize Option: Text sizes on every GB-PVR menu, screen and plugin can be easily changed.
  • Layout Options: The plugin now allows users to select different layout options for some of the default GB-PVR plugins (including some new metadata views).
  • Theme Management: You can now create your own themes, share them with others, and importantly name and delete them.
  • Open Source: Code and graphics are open source, which helps to ensure the future of the project and encourages other GB-PVR users to contribute.

Many older gbpvr.exe plugins are not currently supported. They will be added by request. Please use the above linked support forum for these requests.

Thanks! I've been enjoying the beta version of CS4 for a few weeks now; looking forward to this final release to iron out the few minor issues.

Are there any instructions for removing CS3 and the CS3 skin plugin?

Guys,

really appreciate what you've done here.

Just spent the last week doing a major rebuild of server to GBPVR 1.3.11 due to some issues I had with DVB-S. Ironed out all issues yesterday and decided I had a stable enough system to start 'tweaking' Big Grin

Lo and behold up pops CS4 (always used CS before) just when I needed it.

It looks fantastic so hats off to you.

There must be some virtual beers coming your way!

One issue I have is that task images show on the server PVRX2 UI but they are not displaying on my MVP's?

All else is as to be expected.

While I'm here which bit of the Skin should I delve into to adjust the height size of the upper description 'pop up' for TV guide when playing Live TV?

Fantastic and superb, it looks bl**dy brilliant. Think WAF is up here too Smile

Cheers

The FAQ still refers to CS-HD instead of CS-WS Wink
