I got it to work on my linux box. I reran the command line version once with
Code:
mc2xml -c us -g <ZIP CODE> -t
and it started working again. After running that I was able to run my old scripts and they worked just fine.

Regarding the "-y" option, the author said that he has included a default ID ( I assume running it without the -y option uses this default ID). Supposedly the "-y" option lets you supply your own ID, but I don't know where that ID comes from. Does anyone have a clue what the 30-character ID is that he mentions? Is there a 30 character ID supplied with TitanTV compatible hardware?

Thanks.

so I figured out my problem (late) last night. I needed to delete the .dat file and have it recreated (it does it automatically if no .dat file found) then it worked fine.

I believe that the id is your id when you create an account on titantv? I did create an account thinking that was the problem (the Mc2xml website says that if the default no longer works you need to create your own), but it wasn't.

downloaded the new version of mc2xml, deleted the old dat file, ran it made a new one and all works fine now.

Thanks.

Did anyone figure out what the 30 character ID was? mc2xml has stopped working again.

I'm in the same boat. I signed up at titantv's web site, but i never saw anything about a 30-character ID. Anybody know where to get that?

I got this from the maker of mc2xml:

The ID is exactly 30 characters. I assume it comes with some titantv subscription or titantv enabled device, but I don't use that service, I only found it on the web.

As they seem to expire if heavily used it seems better to use one that is not widely used and not distribute your own.

I think the card I am currently using bragged about coming with a titantv subscription. I have no idea where to find the number, but I will poke around the software cd and see what I can find.

Did you get this figured out? I found out yesterday (just by trolling around the forums) that I'm in the same boat. I haven't had time to try the -y option, but without the 30 char uuid won't do much good.

No, I never found a UUID that would work. I trolled google and all the ones I found must be overused, and did not work. I wasn't able to find anything with my tuner software that could be used. (Apparently, this version of the card doesn't come with a UUID.)

Did you find the partnerid and productid? I've got a Hauppauge 2250 and 350. Others have asked elsewhere in the forums but the answers were always along the lines of google, or search forums. I've looked and have not found the id's. Hmm.

My 1600 doesn't have one. I understand a few Hauppauge products do come with one. (However don't ask me where I read that.)
