Cannot Cancel season recordings

I've looked through the documentation, and found a sentence on this subject that says:

"Otherwise, you would have to cancel a specific episode every day until the time has passed."

Is there really no way to cancel season recordings once they are set? It's driving me crazy having all these shows that I've decided I don't want on my list. Can I dig around in the config file and change a setting?

What's even worse is that I don't have a reliable set of listings here, so cancelling an episode does not usually register, because it usually lacks a subtitle.

But (from memory), go to the 'Reoccurring' list in the 'Recordings' screen, select a recording and choose 'Cancel'.

edit: reading LewE's post I think I may have misunderstood. The steps above are to cancel a season recording completely, not cancel an individual recording as part of a season record - I'm not sure that's possible...?

The TV Listings plug-in (replacement for TV Guide plug-in) gives you the option of cancelling the Season as well as just cancelling the individual recording.

As McBain said above, you can cancel season recordings in the Recurring list in the Recordings screen.
