Virgin 1 on freeview went 24 hour on the 20th May and i can't get GBPVR to pick up the new channel frequency. I have updated to the latest version, re scanned channels but it picks up Vigin +1 on hennel 20 and still says fiver is channel 36 (it's now channel 30). What do i do!

Its probably not scanning the right frequency. Have you tried scanning 'all countries / all regions'?

I've just run a scanchannelsbda and found virgin1 has moved from MuxD to MuxA
For me this is a much weaker signal right at the top of the band at 850MHz.
Virgin1+1 is where virgin1 was, on MuxD.
Why do they mess things aorund so? Do you know is virgin1+1 is 24hr as well?
It would take some load off my sky box tuner as I've kept virgin1 off the DVB-T tuners as it wasn't there 24hrs.

sub - I don't know if there is a way to have a channel that is part-time on one or more tuners (dvb-t, freeview) tuner and full-time on another (stb+pvr150), but keeping the same name in the EPG - I doubt it.

Edit: just spotted that virgin1+1 is only 18:00 to 06:00 (boo) http://www.freeview.co.uk/freeview/Chann.../Virgin1-1

I'd guess it would work (dependant on EPG source), but recording would be down to the order you've set up the tuners and which one happens to be available for a given recording, eg, if the EPG states something is on at 12:00 but the only tuner available to record it doesn't carry the channel at that time, then it'll not record what you expected. In the case of Virgin 1+1 you'd end up with something from "Yesterday" (the channel).

Here's my tuning info for the two channels, but this'll be specific to Angus, Scotland...

Scanning can be the achilles heel of GBPVR! I have all the latest patches, but if I try to scan 'All regions' after it gets to the first frequency with channels, it then skips through the rest and crashes at the last one - 57 I think.
However, scanning for my particular transmitter - Crystal Palace - it does find all the correct channels - but then cannot tune some of them either on the preview window or in PVRX2 itself.
What I have found is that the frequency is incorrect in the scan.cache.
For example, Dave ja vu is found by GBPVR and the scan.cache entry is;
T:C31,554000...etc
But another program finds it as;
T:C31,538000...etc
If the GBPVR scan.cache is edited, it then does work in preview and PVRX2.
Virgin 1 is found by a scan in GBPVR as;
T:C32,561834...etc
But it should be:
T:C32,562000...etc
Virgin 1+1 in GBPVR is found as;
T:C31,554000
But what works for me is:
T:C31,538000.
I assume this is linked to the .ini files for DVB-T? There are quite a few channels found on 554000, which will not work until edited to 538000. The ini for Crystal Palace (0126.ini) does not have a 538000 entry, I don't know if I should edit the ini or add extra lines to it...

I wonder what you have in configs "explicitly scan dvb-t offset frequencies" in the misc tab? mine is ticked and finds everything for me with the Belmont transmitter.

Just checked and mine is ticked also.. I will try it with it unchecked to see if that makes a difference...

Well, I completely removed GBPVR and reinstalled the latest version but it remembered the settings. So I removed the capture device then re added it. Now after a full scan I have virgin1 but no film 4!

I too can not scan all regions without causing the PC to crash.

I hope some one is reading this because this has become a major problem
