Yes, H.264 channels always use TS Mux. Only MPEG2 channels can use the Cyberlink or ATI mux.

TsRemux shows 3 elementary streams:-
MPEG2 Audio Stream # 125
MPEG2 Audio Stream # 126
AVC Video Stream # 124

If I select only 2 and 3, I get a file that is 25% smaller and plays correctly in PCH2.

I hadn't really noticed it before, but the video stutters slightly in the unTsRemuxed file as well.

trummel - t'other Martin has asked if we can try to record say 100mb of the same BBC HD programme?
Just in case you are monitoring this and spot it - I have set a manual recording for BBC HD this evening from 20:00 to 20:05 (manual so no pre/post padding) and I synced my windows clock. I use cutchunk to trim it down to a useable 100mb if it gets too big
http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...ostcount=2

If you can't manage the 20:00 suggestion, we will have to try to synchronise somehow Wink

I also sometimes suffer from BBC HD going with narrative audio, but not been able to pin it down yet.

Sorry, I missed the 20:00 time slot. I've set a manual record for 21:00.

I had a predefined recording running at 20:00 anyway, so I am uploading the first 100M of that as I type. will post when it's up

100MB duly cut starting (as near as my Vista clock will sync) at 21:00
It starts with Robin Hood with his hands up and ends with 2 kids catching a shark.

"Did/does it stutter for both of you?" is the real question.

No stutters for me video or audio.

p.s. I've kept the full 5 minutes in case more is needed for comparison.

I've tried martint123's file. It stutters in exactly the same way. That suggests either a server problem (configuration?) or NMT setup. I've tried both 720p and 1024p neither seem noticeably different. I presume it's not the LAN, cus the files play perfectly in mono. It also seems to be the same with both HDMI and Component.

This is the config section for 1 of my PCH's

<!-- Kitchen 192.168.0.191 ***** -->
<MAC-0006DC42C218>
<MVPClientType>PCH2</MVPClientType>
<MVPWidth>1280</MVPWidth>
<MVPHeight>720</MVPHeight>
<MVPOffsetX>0</MVPOffsetX>
<MVPOffsetY>0</MVPOffsetY>
<MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>true</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>
</MAC-0006DC42C218>

PS.
This may not be relevant, but I have noticed a tendency for the PCH to crash when I do a 'cat /tmp/dumpts.txt'
