As Chris says you do need to change the client type to PCH2. However if you have done this, I believe there is a bug in PCH2 mode in an undocumented GBPVR feature where GBPVR would automatically adjust the screen size to match the size mvpmcx2 reports. Assuming you are running PAL or NTSC adjust you config.xml setting to 640 x 576. If that doesn't work compress and upload your GBPVR logs and I will have a look.

Glad, you got the menu sorted out. You need to you use GB-PVR style navigation now, references are given in post 1. Fast forward for HD is no faster then using the PCH player (mono) for SD you get 8x FF plus. You now get rewind too again but again for HD is is not very usable (because of bandwidth)

did my first tests with the new version. first impression - great progress!
- hdmi works
- skipping forwards and backwards works
- television-osd is now staying on screen longer (you can still see some "flashes" when the osd "struggles" to stay on screen Smile)
- changing volume works
- initial screen-mode recognition is working better

issues that i had:
- when you switch channel, volume is "reset" to default. e.g. you decrease volume and after channel switching volume is high again. this also happens sometimes when i use skip whithin a video.

- wma is still played with pch-player (guess that's normal though)
- mp3 playback stays within gbpvr but with no sound at all
- same for internet-radio.
didn't have sound issues with latest component-version.

- after viewing some fotos i tried to start tv but got a "hang". had to end gbpvr using standby (this was possible) and restart it again.

=> all in all it's really a BIG step for pch to become a real media-player!
thx martin.

This is simply a hard-coded wait of one second, I've asked sub to keep it on screen longer.

Unchanged in six months! That is why I am surprised there were any problems with the initial update.

This is a known issue. Because GBPVR doesn't provide a volume OSD I needed to do this to avoid complaints about distorted audio.

I will check for this.

I have not heard this. Perhaps you played an aac+ internet radio station without hitting the USB Eject key and it broke the audio library. I asked sub to not send aac+ as .mp3 files.

Unrelated to this release. Photos are treated just like menus and that logic didn't change.

Thanks for the feedback, please feel free to post a new thread for any or all of these problems, with logs, and I will have a look.

Sorry I must be missing something I can see what you mean about the 15 next and not skip, but cannot see what I need to change to use GBPVR Navigation to get FF and RWD to work.
