welcome!

have you installed an mpeg decoder? Try the free MPV video decoders as they are known to work fine.

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm

define this decoder in the playback tab within config.exe.

DVB-S or dvb-t?

If s have you done what gEd said?
If T you need an h.264 decoder, PowerDVD 8 or Arcsoft Total Media (http://www.arcsoft.com/estore/software_t...Code=TMT3P) are about the only ones that work with hardware decoding. Also that assumes your video card is up to scratch. Post some specs please and we can help.

from the email you sent me :
2 X Hauppauge winT nova-500 cards giving 4 digital freeview channels

as these are the tuners you have you will be recording in H.264 so take psyciks advice and install power dvd 8 or similar

what was the program you use that plays them back outside of gbpvr as the decoder that it is using should show on the play back tab for advanced code so it may be just a matter of selecting that(unless its vlc or media player classic as they have there own built in decoders that cannot be used elsewhere)

side note if you select ts mux you should be able to record more than 4 channels at once (all 12channels if your disks can handle it)

you said you tried the mvp decoder but thats for mpeg files so that wont work for h.264

I don't think PDVD 9 allows the decoders to be used in third party apps, unless something has changed in the last month or so.
