Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem.
I converted a couple of MPG videos to AVI (XVid) using "copy" (AVIDEMUX) for the audio. There is no audio when playing the AVI with GBPVR. However, there is audio when playing it through VLC.
I realize this is a codec problem; however, it is very difficult to tell what codec is being used by GBPVR. I have tried various GBPVR playback settings to no avail. Incidentally, GSpot tells me that the required codec is installed, but unfortunately it doesn't say WHAT codec it has installed. It says it is MPEG 1 Layer 2 but that's it. That is not much help as it doesn't tell you what SPECIFIC codec it is detecting.
Sometime ago I resolved a video freeze problem when fast forwarding by using "MPEG Audio decoder" instead of "Cyberlink Audio decoder". So I can't use the Cyberlink. If I set it to "MPEG Audio decoder" what codec is GBPVR using?
In fact, if anyone else has had this problem, I would like to know what codec they used.
Thanks very much
