Hi all, I am a new member and need some help. I have installed GBPVR on a new system and cannot get any sound on live tv. DVD sound works when playing in GBPVR. Win xp fully updated, sp3 etc. Nova t500, asus en9400 silent, m2n68-vm mobo, amd 5000+. I have tried all sorts of combinations in the Config menu for Audio decoders etc. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Since you're doing DVB-T in NZ, you need to install the Monogram AAC decoder.

Decoders come as .ax files. So you need to save them to some permanent directory on your machine (not the GB-PVR directory), then run "regsvr32 c:\path\to\your.ax" file. Then the decoders should show up in the config app. In this specific case, it'll show up as a HE-AAC decoder, which is the audio standard used on the the DVB-T system in NZ.

I've never seen a Windows installation that did not have it. I'm sure you just mistyped it or something. It lives in C:\Windows\System32.

If you mean that regsvr32 can't find the file and you saved the ax file to a path that has a space in the name, you will need to use quotes:

Code:
regsvr32 "C:\Path To\your.ax"

Thank you for your assistance, I found that when I saved the ax file in Windows32 it found it ok. Steep learning curve but good fun. I have just added a BenQ E2200HD monitor, amazing, and only 286$.

or you need to fiddle with your video card settings
