I have just installed a Nova-t 9002 and can not find any channels when scanning. I installed the latest drivers from Hauppauge (hcw-13nova-t).
I find the channels without problem from the Win2000 application but not from the GBPVR (It also works with MediaPortal, but I like GBPVR a lot more and would like to use it).
I have checked that the frequencys are the same in the gbpr ini file as found when scanning in Win2000.
I have also noticed if I select System default as Video decoder I get the error message "GBPVR was unable to start the BDA devices ...." If i select the other choice - InterVideo it starts to scan but finds no channels.

I guess it has something to do with decoders or multiplexers but I can not understand what to do. Please anything to point me in the right direction.

Regards

Hi Sub, thanks for quick reply.
I'm not so sure about how to check multiplexer, this is all new (and fascinating) stuff. Anyway in the config program - Misc tab I have tried to select multiplexer. I have three choices CyberLink, InterVideo and SS. I have tried all three without luck. Is there any other thing I could check. How do I check version etc for these multiplexers, which multiplexer is recomended and how do I install it.

It always gives you three options. You may have none installed on your machine.

I prefer the Cyberlink one. I'm using version 5.0.0.1101. I think the Cyberlink mux is usually installed with Cyberlink MakeDVD, or your can try to download it from elsewhere.

Installed the latest mpgmux version 5.0.0.727.
Used the command regsvr32 mpgmux.ax as in another thread.
Still no channels.
What else?

Yeah, that would have something to do with that. I'm not sure why they wouldn't be connecting though.

Are there newer versions of the drivers you can try? I dont personally have a Nova-T, so I'm not really that familiar with the current versions.

Thanks for all your help Sub.
Can anyone explain what this with the ConnectPins means. What can be the problem?

It could be caused by the device already being in use, or if for some reason your machine doesnt use the names mentioned above - 'MPEG2 Transport' and 'MPEG-2 Stream' (unlikely).
