Stocks Plugin Dow Jones Industrial Average Symbol

Does anyone know what the symbol is for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) that the stocks plugin can use??

$INDU usually works for me.

Yahoo finance uses ^DJI.

INDU worked for me, but only in the config where I can test the symbol. It shows "-" in the GUI. Also when I add Wells Fargo (WFC) I get this could it be related? See attached. Thanks

I took a look and those are two separate problems. The Well Fargo thing the webservice is returning invalid xml for the & character. Just did a test and hacked the received xml to use & and it works.

The INDU symbol works but it returns ^DJI so the plugin doesn't know it got a response. Just did a test and hacked the received symbol to use INDU instead of ^DJI and it works.

I attached the test build if you want to try it. It's not a proper fix so I didn't upload the code or build to the wiki.

I noticed th ^DJI but would not know if that would have been the problem or not. Everything seems to work now. No chart for INDU but maybe there will not be until Mondays open?

Posted a new version on the wiki. Make sure to clear your browser cache when downloading or you may not get the latest version. Graph for INDU now works. The fix is general so even if the webservice modifies other symbols it should still work.
