Xrecord Question.

Ok I just installed a new Hard drive. I moved all my video files to this hard drive. I then ran config and set My video and Xrecord to point to the new locations.

But now Xrecord does not show the recorded programs in the ready menu? Any ideas on how I can get the shows I have recorded back into the Ready menu option?

Where does xrecord store this data?

Open the config and pick the checkbox merge video and ready. It will then show you all of the videos it finds in the ready list. If you had done an export before switching drives it would show all of the data.

Export works great! Now if it would only export automatically each night or create the file when the show gets recorded... I hate mentioning such petty minor things but everything is working so well I don't have anything else to do!

I worked around it by just adding a path in the videos paths in the config. That works for now. But for future I am not sure what you mean by EXPORT? I fail to see that option anywhere or how to do it?

I still have a full backup of the directory prior to moving my storage folders so maybe I can use that some how to get the data back? Would be fun to tinker with and a good learning experience.

Click on a show in ready you will see export. Or hit stop and you can export all. A nightly export is on my todo list.

I just copied my old backup into GBPVR and did the export. Now all the show info displays in the video section. Thanks again.

Just 1 more quickie just what exactly does the archive do?

I know it's probably in the docs somewhere but I'm just like everyone else to lazy to look!

Achive does an export and moves it from the recordings directory to the first xvideo path.
