live tv and recordings problems

Just updated to the newest version of GBPVR (91112b or whatever it is) from .90*. Only problem that I had with the .90 version was the audio which sounds like robots are talking - kind of strange - i read somewhere to disable live preview mode which I will try when I can get to the PC. This problem still exists for me on this newest version so it might have been introduced from an earlier version. Again, it may be my configuration and I will check when I have a chance.

The other problem I'm having is when I try to watch recorded shows. Usually the shows start playing but when I attempt to go to the menu, it freezes - everytime with every show. Have had no luck with it at all. This bug is new for me with the version that is available now (the .9**12b) so I thought I would see if anyone else has had the same problem or sub can enlighten me to see what is wrong.

I should also note my system specs in case that matters:

On the 'misc' tab of the config app, try explicitly setting the Video Decoder, Audio Decoder and Audio Render to something other than relying on the 'system default'.

i just checked and no options are set for "system default". also what version of ffdshow should i be using for deinterlacing?

Probably best to not try ffdshow yet, as this is also known to cause lockups for some users. Get it going without it first.

Sorry I dont understand?? Do you mean that "system default" is your only option? or are you saying you'd already set them from the default to something else, if so, what have you set them to?

Sorry for not being clearer. I meant that I changed all options from system default to something else. Have tried many combinations between intervideo's and cyberlink's decoders - still no luck.

So, Video Decoder = Intervideo Non-CSS
Audio Decoder = Intervideo Non-CSS
etc.

Hi again Sub,

still no luck in finding the problem with the program. GBPVR is still recording shows fine - i can watch them with windows media - but playback freezes up. I turned off live preview mode and all options with ffdshow. still isn't working. Any more ideas?

i reverted to version .9010 and playback works again - same configuration of decoders too. when the next version is released, i'll try it and let you know if it fails on my computer like .9112b does. keep up the good work sub.
