Hi people Smile

For months now I've been having issues with my Hauppauge Nova S+ receiving remote commands from my other remotes (samsung tv, cheap brand tv, strong sat STB) - after sending my STB remote to Ingram Micro and them sending it to Hauppauge to try and diagnose why my Nova S+ cards are receiving the commands they sent it back to me saying they couldnt replicate the issue - 5 months later i get my STB remote back (yippee) and Ingram sent me a USB IR Receiver - its got TSES-IR01 on the back of it and i think its a MCE receiver because windows sees it as a Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver.

Has anyone got this receiver ? if so what software do i need to use to get Windows to accept the commands ? do i need HIPS or GIRDER or are they one in the same ?

Cheers

i used to use the mce driver but then i changed to using the hip driver cant remember the reason but there was one at the time (i think it was actually to do with controlling winamp and power dvd )

when i plug the usb device in i can see the lights etc and the driver seems to install ok - the red light on the front of the usb device is lighting up when using the buttons on my remote but in gbpvr and in windows media center on my win 7 laptop it does nothing ie no movement or change of volume etc... i wasnt give any cds but should there be one with some sort of installation software or something for this ?

cheers
