film classification = rating

<rating system="BBFC">
<value>15</value>
</rating>
<star-rating>
<value>3/5</value>
</star-rating>

Although Zehd said
Apparently, GB-PVR, when reading an xmltv file, is picking either Rating or StarRating but not both, because the xml parser is not looking for the <starrating> or <rating> tags, but rather only the <value> tag.

So maybe it needs Sub to do something before you can support it?

Hi,

yes, gbpvr imports those fields into the rating column of the programme table, while a star-rating is preferred against a rating. The tv listings plugin shows a star-rating as stars, both in the detail view in the listings and in the details popup of a program or recording. A rating is shown there too, it is displayed in parantheses right after the subtitle of the show.

Ah I see, there is one rating field and this will be populated by the star rating in preference to the film classification (rating).

I never a rating field in (), I assume because all films in my xml file have a star-rating.
I'll log a feature request.

Thanks alibert.

How do you get the pictures to show on the tv listings, like the pictures shown here http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/TVListings

Is there a way to have them just load up automatic? or at least everytime you click on a shows info ??

Thanks

basically, you have two options:
- your xmltv-source includes the "icon" element for programmes -or-/-and-
- you put image files into a directory where the plugin then picks them up

Details and requirements can be found in the sections "Images for Programmes" and "Configuration" -> "TV Listings - Settings" -> "Directory for programme images" on the TV Listings wiki page, additional information on the first mehtod can also be found on the XmltvExtras wiki page.

There have been approaches to automate the process of populating the image directory based on your lineup, e.g. the "Programme Image Tool" did so as far as I remember.

You can use WizImageGrabber to download pictures of the shows and put them in the gbpvr\media\art folder.

My postupdateepg.bat file contains
WizImageGrabber /CreatePlaceholders:true /ForcePlaceholderRefresh:30

This runs after the epg is updated.
Optionally: Placeholders (blank images) are created for shows where no image is found (to save searching for the same image every day. placeholders > 30 days old are deleted.

The wiki has more details. http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/WizUtilities

What do I have to do to get TV Listings to display 3 hours at a time when using the Community Skin SD version 4 skins? I've already set ListingsMinutes to 180. Also, how can I display both the channel number and icon in the first column?

I used to be able to do both under previous skins but can't remember what changes I had to make.

I gave a detailed explanation how to change the displayed timespan in this post, it should help you getting started.
To display the channel number and the icon in the first column, you'll need to add the number in the "ChannelHeader" composite image of the skin-file.

Thanks. It took a bit of trial and error but I am getting what I wanted.

I expect that many usersd would like to switch to 3 hour grid and be able to show the channel number as well as the icon. Maybe you could create a "Survival Guide" type of forum thread and make it a sticky so users could find these tweaks easily.

I switched to the Community version 4 skin and am trying to get to how I had it set up before I updated.

I'd like the grid rectangle for a scheduled program to be displayed in Red rather than just have a little red ball to indicate it is scheduled. TV Guide displays the grid recctangle in red so I assume that it isn't part of the common community skin definitions and is probably in the TV listings-specific skins.

In the TV Listings skin.xml, I have ShowRecordingStatusColor set to true.

In the TV Listings skin.xml, I have ShowRecordingStatusIcon set to true.

In the TV Listings skin.xml, I have the NAmedColor for Pending set to Red.

What am I missing?
