Yep, I use TS Mux. The crux of the matter is that I _can't_ record anything from an AC3 or HD channel :/
Nothing about that works.
Not recording (.ts file is zero bytes), and not live tv (but it works in e.g. ProgDVB with the exact same MDAPI filter and plugin files).
It looks like the process doesn't communicate with the MDAPI filter/plugin (I see nothing in the filter/plugin logs).
A bit strange though that the stream doesn't get recorded at all... Shouldn't it be recorded encrypted then?

You didn't see anything in the logs I attached in the first post?

(p.s. maybe you meant a sample from a working non-AC3/HD channel?)

Can you post a log that shows an attempted recording? Disable multidec support, and record a FTA channel for this test.

Did this result in a zero byte file?

Ah, can you set <BDARecordOutOfProcess>true</BDARecordOutOfProcess> and see if that helps?

No, the file recorded fine. BDARecordOutOfProcess was set to true.

Sorry, I meant to say 'false'. Having BDARecordOutOfProcess set to true was supported in 1.3.x (with option removed in the config app). 1.4.x removes the function entirely, and never even looks at this setting.

ok, so the file recorded fine. Whats the problem? If it was only problem recording or watching encrypted channels, then its most likely a problem with the mdapifilter or the multidec plugin you're using.

The problem is with AC3 and/or HD channels only. All other channels work fine. I can watch AC3 and HD channels in ProgDVB with exactly the same MDAPI and plugin files.

The FTA channel is not AC3 or HD, but I changed the BDARecordOutOfProcess to false, and tried to record an encrypted HD channel, but no luck. Still no recording (zero byte file).

Its a bit of a tough one to look into for you, because I'm guessing you only have encrypted AC3 and/or HD channels, but I dont provide any support for multidec decryption (since this is very much out of GB-PVR's control). If there was a FTA one of these channels, there is plenty of things I could look into. Unfortunately with encrypted channels, its almost certainly a case of the mdapifilter or your multdec plugin not decrypting your channel.

There is one thing we can check, which will tell use whether GB-PVR has lived up to its end of the bargain by asking the mdapifilter to decrypt the correct channel. To check this, create a c:\temp directory and the following registry setting:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Devnz\LogPSIProcessing=2

Start PVRX2, go to the TV Guide, then press play on one of these problem channels, wait a few seconds, then zip and attach the c:\temp\psi.log file.
